
CONSCIOUS MOVEMENT
Start learning how to use your BODY better, by using your MIND better. This is 1:1 online coaching to teach you how to enjoy greater ease and less tension (hint: less pain) in your body, in any activity. When I learned this method, my teacher applied it to violin performance, french horn performance, voice performance, going up stairs, getting up out of a chair, and much more. I use it most often while chopping vegetables or doing homestead work!
My Story with Conscious Movement
In 2012 a car accident left me in chronic pain with debilitating headaches. I searched for ways to get better. I never dreamed I would be able to play my violin again, or sing, or dance - without triggering a migraine and/or neck and back spasms.
Then I studied with certified Alexander Technique teacher Jennifer Roig-Francoli for a couple of years. I learned how to live and move with greater EASE in my body. Doing so unlocked my ability to make music, play sports, and dance again. Combining this practice with my herbal and nutritional knowledge and other mind-body and emotional work, my body now feels much safer to live in and much more WHOLE.
You CAN heal from chronic pain. You can learn to play an instrument without pain. You can feel better in your body, whether you’re working hard or just wanting to jump up and express yourself through dance (cue Audrey Hepburn). I can help you with this.
